Wednesday Discussion

Instead of a discussion question today, I thought it would be fun to network a little!

Friending Frenzy:

If you are looking for new friends, say a little bit about yourself. Mama and Mama-to-Be networking is a fantastic way of supporting each other and securing support for the future!

Do you read any blogs out there on the blog-o-sphere or do you have any LJ friends you think the community might like to get to know? Send them this way or send us their way!

Comments

I am always looking for new blogs/LJs to read - bonus if you update regularly. I enjoy new friends!

I am addicted to personality tests and love being analyzed: M/B type INFJ, my Insights color is Green/Yellow, my Strengths are Achiever, Maximizer, Learner, Empathy, Intellection.

My twins are 8 months old, my partner and I have been together 10.5 years, married for four years this October. We met at a small All-Women's University in Virginia where we still live. All of my family is in Texas, hers is in MD and we're raising twins with the support of fabulous god parents and our lovely friends here.

We also rescue cats and are animal advocates. We have a LOT of animals! :)

Added back! :)
I'm always keen for more LJ friends!
My wife & I have a very-almost-4-month old baby boy. We've been together for about 5&1/2 years, married for 1&1/2. We're both nurses but right now I'm a SAHM.
Oh and we live in Australia :-)
I'm always up for any friends who are active LJers (post, like to have discussion on posts, etc.)

Extra plus if you like to post about the working mother life, creative cooking, or spirituality. But I'm interested in all sorts of things.
Great-- add me and I'll add back :)
Oh, and I guess I should post about myself too...um, mediaprof is my partner, we have a 3.5 month old son (who I gave birth to and mediaprof is currently SAHM'ing with), I work at a college full-time, I like to dabble in poetry and I'm trying to spend more time outdoors.

I'm sandokai's partner ... I tend to blog weekly rather than daily but I'm an active reader/commenter on LJ. I teach college and enjoy writing, the arts, travel, pets, pop culture, women's studies, spirituality, etc. I'm on leave this semester to care for my son and will be home part-time with him when I return to teaching. I'm finding great joy in motherhood so far (even though it's challenging.)

I'd be interested in LJ friends in general but particularly interested in reading other non-bio moms' experiences and discussing conception/pregnancy (which is likely in my future).
Can I add you?
we have a bunch of friends in common! i haven't been great about posting lately, as i am still adjusting to being back at work after having my baby. i have a 3 year old and an almost 3 month old. i'm 32 and my wife and i have been together for almost 6 years, legally married for just over 3 years. we live in nh. friends?
i'd love to have a bigger group of lesbian parents on my friends list!
i'm 28, and 22wks pregnant with out first (a boy!). i'll be a SAHM for the first couple of years as i'm studying and running a craft business. my partner works for local government at the moment, but she'll be a high school teacher next year.
we're planning to be relatively alterna-parents, though obviously we'll play things by ear.

the banner on my journal says i'm not adding new friends at the moment, but that doesn't apply to lesbian mummies!
Can I add you?
for sure - i'll add you back! :)
Hi, I added you, too! Congrats on your pregnancy.
thanks - adding you back :)
lovely - i'll add you :)
I would love some new queer parent friends! I am Australian, 29. I love animals, veg food, the Internet, music etc. My partner and I just had our first baby. She is two days old. :)

I'm a bad commenter at the moment but I kind of have my hands full right now! I always read and I post very regularly. I comment where I can.
